The flocked yarn has a velvet appearance, with soft touch, high comfort, transpirability and is able to absorb noises and reduce friction. Applications are countless. Components of the flocked yarn are a carrier yarn and a layer of adhesive material, which let perpendicularly fix the flock fibres, through the technology of electrostatic flocking.

The variation of characteristics of the three components (material & thickness of the carrier yarn, adhesive composition, material, thickness and cut length of the flock fibres) permits to obtain a wide range of articles.
